Suspension
Your suspension is responsible for giving you a smooth ride in your Subaru vehicle. The suspension is a system comprised of tires, tire air, springs, shock absorbers and links that connect your vehicle to its wheels and allows motion between the two. The term "suspension" means raising something from the ground. Your car's frame being raised off the ground minimizes the impact that the ground has on it. The suspension system is in place to keep your vehicle from shaking and falling apart over time. There are different types of suspension systems on vehicles. Most vehicles these days are equipped with what is called an "independent" suspension system. What this basically means is that each wheel moves independently of the other. There are tests that you can do to see how your suspension is doing. There are known as the "bounce" tests. You can put your vehicle in park and then press down on your vehicle with all your weight, bounce it a few times and release it. You can repeat this on the rear of your vehicle as well. If you experience too much bounce you may need to replace parts in your system. Rough roads and difficult driving experiences can wreak havoc on a suspension system. You can shop our webstore for any suspension parts. We sell genuine OEM replacement parts made specifically for your Subaru vehicle.
